VECO Celebrates Online Australia Day!

Vocational Education Coordinators Online (VECO) is an online community for partners in school-industry programs. In just under two years VECO has matured into a strong cohesive online community. It is most appropriate that VECO stands up to be counted for Online Australia Day. Specific content developed for the day is twofold:

Involving all the community:
The voced-coord email discussion list is the lifeblood of VECO. For Online Australia Day participants have been invited to post a message on or before November 27 encouraging others to adopt the online world. These postings will be collated and published after the event.

The issues for introducing VET into rural and remote schools have similarities no matter where you are in Australia. When people gather in a region to debate the issues it makes sense to use online technologies to capture the essence of the proceedings so that the resources developed can reach a wider audience. The VECO website has been used to provide a web presence for this event and an archived email list set up so that participants can record some of the proceedings of the 2 day symposium.
