Background
On May 12 and 13, 1999 ASTF ran a
two day seminar for coordinators and others involved in Rural and remote
structured workplace learning programs for young people at school. A report
of the event is archived on the VECO Web site.
Purpose
Out of this meeting, the RRAVE-On National Network was established as a
forum for practitioners specifically set up to:
- provide mutual support and mentoring
- act as a clearinghouse of ideas and initiatives, models and
resources
- share stories of success and challenges overcome
- provide an advocacy and lobbying role towards achieving equity for
rural and remote areas
How to Join
In
Participation in the RRAVE-On National Network is designed to be as
inclusive as possible. To this end, you may join the network in one of two
ways: via an online email discussion list or periodic facsimiles.
To Join the RRAVE-On Discussion List:
- If joining by Email, follow the instructions on the Web page for
the RRAVE-On discussion list.
Other networking
activities and events may occur from time to time. The RRAVE-On list
will promote these as they occur.
