Learning about the World of Work: how early should it begin?
This VECO online guest session is to be conducted as a panel session. It has arisen after the issue was raised on the voced-coord discussion list. Two existing programs that give an early introduction to the world of work will be presented and issues pertinent to the area raised for discussion.
Introducing the panel:
From South Australia, having stopped crowing after a recent certain event, we welcome the staff from what was formerly known as the Ready, Set Go team and now known as the Vocational Education Team.They have supplied a brief overview of the vocational education programs they conduct in South Australia.
From the New South Wales Curriculum Support Directorate of the Department of Education and Training we welcome the staff of the Vocational Learning Unit. They have supplied a brief overview of the various programs they offer within NSW.
The panel will be chaired by Mike Frost, Executive Officer for VETNETwork who will introduce the speakers.
