Greetings Ty,

Following on from Gary's reply to your two good questions...

How do I make the data go from a web page form to my own email address, rather than a seperate web page ?

Concerning setting up e-mail replies on your site to go to your e-mail address, this was what we did in the Voced Briefcase..it looked great and I even sent myself a reply to test the pro-forma and then things went very silent when I asked some our trainees to send me a report using the email proforma. On investigation we found that our current server was so "security minded" that the e-mails could not get through from anyone else. The standard now used, as Gary mentioned uses cgi scripts which depend on your server being able to run them ..our did not want to do the setup (time & money) to run cgi's..so yes it's possible but should be done by an expert working with your server.

Secondly, please provide me with a few different ways that I can make available my teacher, student and employer guides to website surfers (about 30 A4 pages each).

With regard to making documents available to anyone else, the way that I have done this has been to simply upload an MS Word document into the right directory for our voced briefcase and then edit the page with the link to send you to the doc. I don't know about Frontpage 98, but using Netscape Composer has been easy to put in links jumping from a word/phrase or giff, once we got the settings right for saving pages.... see the Traineeship homepage to illustrate. The uploads are done with FTP Cute, again very easy once it is setup. Putting up a PDF file is almost as easy but you need to software to create a PDF document. The other method I have also tried which is very fast but slows your site down is to use Word 97 to save a document as html then set up a link somewhere and upload the html (page) into the same directory. This is not of course interactive but is easy and accessable.

Hope this helps

Lenny
