Biographical information

Image of Paul Kearney and his dog (14 KB) Paul Kearney is the Managing Director of Enterprise Design Associates Pty Ltd, (EDA) a Hobart based-company which specialises in products and services for vocational training and education.

As a Registered Training Organisation, EDA develops and provides innovative recognition and assessment services to the larger VET system.

These services mainly center round Training and Workplace Assessment credentials.

Paul has a long standing interest in emerging work patterns, workplace learning, and training system development.

Paul has been a teacher and program manager in Australia and the United Kingdom. His work in enterprise education is known internationally for its innovative, educative and socially responsible nature. He has a keen interest in learner- managed experiential learning, especially the learning through enterprise approach.

He believes that education should be bold, imaginative and transforming. Paul has worked in Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Sri Lanka and Ireland. Last year he researched a number of vocational initiatives in the United States.
