Subject: VocEd: Introducing Online Guest - Ken Price

Hi all

Please make welcome out next online guest, Ken Price who will be well known to those who have participated in VECO for some time. Ken has made some valuable contributions to VECO in the past and is not averse to asking some hard questions in the interests of optimising outcomes for students!

Ken has a wealth of relevant and up to date information about entry level training in the Information Technology industry through his recently completed Churchill Fellowship and has generously agreed to share some of his findings with us.

Details on Ken's backgound and what led him to this field of study can be found at http://www.veco.ash.org.au/guest/kprice/default.asp.

As well as his interest in the IT training scene Ken is currently undertaking PhD studies in the very serious field of humour in education!

Over to you Ken!

HOUSEKEEPING RE ONLINE GUESTS:
- Guest generally adopt a convention of including the work 'guest' in brackets in their subject so that the guest posts are easy to follow.

- Whilst we expect that there will be lots of people personally engaged in the topic, it is quite acceptable to post items on other topics.

- when replying to guest posts, please refrain from resending the entire original post with your message (unless it is particularly relevant to do). Rather, make liberal use of the delete key, leaving just enough of the original message to retain the context.

- be sure to include a signature that contains enough information to give an appropriate context for your post eg Name, position and/or role in VET, State

Previous online guest posting are published on the VECO website at http://www.veco.ash.org.au/guest/default.asp.

Have fun!
