Dave is now seeking to build upon this work and make a contribution to the areas of · vocational, enterprise and careers education · education and community links · rites of passage and tackling disaffection · regional, local and rural development · young person led community involvement · education and industry links · learning community and lifelong learning In addition to working in the UK, Dave has worked extensively
in Australia (his home) and Southern Africa. Dave has also
undertaken consultancy work for OECD, The Commonwealth and
various governments on enterprise education and school
industry/community links. Community based learning is of interest to educators as one of the ways of increasing the relevance of young peoples' learning. The projects in which Dave has been involved over recent years are great case studies of the effectiveness of this approach. You are warmly invited to actively participate in this event.
