Subject: VocEd:Brigid Freeman (guest) Action Plan Proposals Part 1 -
Starting Off:
Dear all,
As noted in a previous message (subject: VocEd: Where to from here? The
new ASTF kit), Action Plan proposals essentially represent:
- your Strategic Plan, or Business Plan for the next stage of
development of your school-workplace learning program/s;
AND
- an application for (non-financial and financial) support to
implement the ACTION PLAN, and facilitate initiatives at the local
level in conjunction with program stakeholders.
ACTION PLAN proposals should identify:
- non-financial support requested;
- financial support requested for the period 1 September, 1998 to an
end-date determined by you).
For example, you may wish to lodge an ACTION PLAN proposal with a long
term plan for the years 1999 - 2001 (ie. a 3 year plan). However, with
this, you may only wish to lodge an application for financial support for
the year 1999 (technically 1 September, 1998 - 30 December, 1999) (in the
first instance).
Alternatively, you may wish to lodge an ACTION PLAN proposal for the
years 1999 - 2001, with an application for financial support for the years
1999 - 2001 (technically, 1 September, 1998 - 30 December, 2001).
If you're not sure what financial and non-financial support provisions
may be available, these are outlined in the "Tools Catalogue"
from "The New ASTF" kit.
ACTION PLAN proposals should be based on a self-assessment against the
Quality Achievement Matrix part of the "Getting There" kit
developed by the Australian Quality Council. The "Getting There"
kit provides a comprehensive overview of this self-assessment process.
[More news on this shortly]
Remember, ACTION PLAN proposals for 1999 must be lodged by 29th May,
1998.
