The New ASTF
As many will be aware the ASTF was
changed overnight by the stroke of a Ministerial pen which meant its
imminent sunset became a new sunrise thus turning it from an organisation
expecting to end its life in July 1998 to one that is to be ongoing with
an expanded role.
So... a new life, new role (old budget!), new Board and new charter. There has been a period of steep learning, wide consultation and deep thought on the part of the Board and staff at the ASTF which has resulted in a new focus and strategic direction.
Brigid's time as online guest will be an opportunity to clarify issues big and small about the New ASTF and provide information in alternative ways not possible through the formal documentation.
The Introductory message below gives more of Brigid's background. The other items are the messages that Brigid sent to the voced-coord list over her time as "online guest". Collectively they are a valuable resource to use in conjunction with the other material available from the ASTF website.
