Subject: Thank you to the guests!
Good afternoon
I would like to formally thank Shelley Gillis and Jack Keating for
their recent contributions as online guests and for the guided tour of the
assessment resources. Thanks too to those who contributed to the
discussions. The following comment is published with permission and sums
up the feedback received:
".......in our world (NSW) we are so engrossed with implementing
our new HSC and preparing ourselves (District by District) for RTO
compliance assessment, that it's difficult to think more widely. The
assessment discussion has been excellent and I look forward to getting
into the documents from Melbourne University which I've downloaded but
yet to print. CBA is a big issue with our teachers, particularly
workplace CBA. There seems to be plenty of info available and I suspect
as teachers gain experience in this area they will become more
confident. I think most of the uncertainties have been articulated in
VECO over the past week or so."
(acronyms explained below for the benefit of
non Australian readers)
A couple of challenges remain to be taken up - particularly that of
Patrick Griffin's about paraphrasing the language of CBA in more
teacher-friendly terms so perhaps that might be dealt with when teachers
get together? Feel free to pick up the issue at a later date.
The archives will be available on the website shortly.
Thank you again Shelley and Jack and have a good weekend everyone!
