Subject: Re: Enhancing validity of assessments!

Good morning all!
Thought that you may be interested in that some industries have developed assessment instruments to accompany each unit of competency.

Being the non-endorsed components of a Training Package, assessment instruments are not necessarily developed for all Training Packages....that issue of funding creeps into it again.

The Forest and Forest Products Industries has designed assessment instruments for the generic as well as specific industry units of competency.

The Forest Industries VET in Schools programs have been using the assessment instruments for a couple of years, particularly the Bombala and Tumut, NSW programs.

Prior to this the Forest Industries teachers had created a bank of assessment tasks to accompany the original module format program.

If anyone cares to view sample assessment instruments please contact me.

Kind regards
