Subject: VocEd: Introducing Ms Anna Cutler, Tumut High School, NSW

I am honoured indeed to introduce my excellent friend Ms Anna Cutler; or 'Cutter Anna' as she is know to my kids; she always brings chocolate..

I worked with Anna in the then, South West Slopes Cluster in 1991 and 1992, I have watched with pleasure and awe since then as small beginnings have grown in to something special. Ms Cutler's enterprise and resilience remains crucial to the ongoing development of vocational education provision in the Tumut Shire.

Tumut HS has been able to use a short term injection of money and expertise [Staying On': 91-95] to build a comprehensive school change program. Worth looking at closely in light of the new Full Service Schools initiative.

Effort on innumerable fronts has enabled Tumut High School to have just about pushed the envelope of voc ed provision in a small county town setting, as far as it can go. Anna's skills in being an effective conduit for dialogue between the school community, parents and the business community are a grand part of this success story.

So...................

# Successful business woman; "Valley Violets", franchised across Oz.
# A community icon in Tumut. " If Anna will back it there is a fair chance it will happen." Anna is skilled builder of happy coalitions.
# Courageous and skilled pilot of motorised hang gliders. [terrifying]
# Mother of two strapping boys.
# Financial agility.
# Excellent host.
# A born negotiator.
# A skilled organiser

I'm hoping that Anna speaks her mind over the next days, hang on for the ride.

Onward!!
