Golden Circle is offering Kid Start Farms sponsorship worth $1,500 to employers of school based New Apprenticeships in agriculture, production horticulture, floriculture and nursery. The Kid Start farms sponsorship is open to all farmers, growers and farming companies, not just Golden Circle suppliers.
This Kid Start Farms money is additional to the other Commonwealth and State/Territory Government employer incentives that may be paid.
There are up to 50 sponsored Kid Start Farm positions available across Australia for the year 2001.
General information about the program and applications for sponsorship, which are made by way of an application form, is available on the Rural Skills Australia website - http://www.rsa.farmwide.com.au/kidstart.asp or from myself. The Kid Start Farms sponsorship funding will be paid to the employer.
Group training companies are not eligible to apply for sponsorship funding, however applications from a 'host' employer associated with a group training company will be considered.
Golden Circle is committed to supporting rural and remote communities and to providing training opportunities for students interested in taking up positions in the rural industry.
There has been extensive coverage of the 'Kid Start Farms' campaign in the Womans Day magazine, as well as professionally produced community services ads on regional and metropolitan TV.
Any enquiries about the Kid Start Farm sponsorship may be made to me by email or telephone.
Thanks for your assistance.
