National Excellence in Teaching Awards - NEiTA (closes July 20)

This year, the Foundation is offering dual awards with the Commonwealth Government and separately recognising ENTERPRISE & CAREER EDUCATION teachers for the first time.

This award allows you to recognise, recommend and reward excellent full-time teachers in preschools, primary and secondary schools from all education systems throughout Australia.
 
School communities - parents, students and teachers are invited, together with businesses, organisations and individuals to nominate teachers for national awards and prizes. Nominations are available on-line at www.neita.com and can be made at the site or on forms available from schools until 20 July 2001. There is a separate category for teachers in the field of enterprise and career education.

Since 1994, the National Excellence in Teaching Awards (NEiTA) Foundation- a community initiative of ASG, the Australian Scholarships Group has been recognising school teachers for regional and national awards.This year, the Foundation is offering dual awards with the Commonwealth Government and separately recognising enterprise and career education teachers for the first time.

Nomination kits have been mailed to School Principals, Preschool Directors and parent bodies throughout Australia in May.
