Background: Frank Stoner is an international consultant on education and training, and has worked in recent years in the UK, Australia, China, Nigeria and New Zealand. A contributor to the inaugural edition of VOCAL, the Australian Journal of Vocational Education and Training in Schools, he is a highly informed commentator on vocational education in the United Kingdom. He has worked with a number of leading Australian VET policy drivers, including Jack Keating from RMIT University, and has an excellent understanding of the VET scene in the UK and Australia.

The recording begins twenty minutes into the presentation after a description of the political climate surround VET in schools in the UK.
