Background:
Rural and remote programs are one of the ASTF's priority areas for
1999. The establishment of a national netwwork is one way of
supporting practitioners working in these programs. |
To shape and launch this national network for rural and remote, ASTF ran a
two day seminar on May 12 and 13, 1999 for coordinators and others
involved in Rural and remote structured workplace learning programs for
young people at school. At this seminar a range of activities were
undertaken to define the network's purpose, modes of operation and
implementation strategies.
