**The purpose of the Disability-Forum email discussion list**

The Disability-Forum network is a professional support network for those working with or interested in students with a disability to help these young people have a better future.

Disability-Forum supports practitioners by providing a network through which its members can:

Share good practice and success stories about Vocational Learning for young Australians with a disability
Share resources and information
Discuss issues and support each other
Ask each other for advice
Arrange meetings and events
Announce special events
Be used as a reporting mechanism from time to time

Joining the List

How to subscribe to the disability-forum discussion:

Fill in the disability-forum online form

Send an email message to:

lyris@rite.ed.qut.edu.au

Leave the "subject" blank
In the body of the message type:

subscribe disability-forum

If you use a signature file then it is important that you have it turned off.

Posting messages to the list

To post a message to the disability-forum email list, address it to

disability-forum@rite.ed.qut.edu.au

Be sure to include an appropriate subject and a brief signature (name and role).

Your message will now go to everyone currently subscribed to the disability-forum list.

You may like to read the VECO Rules of Play for some guidelines and tips about posting messages.

Archives of the disability-forum list

The archives of the list are available on the web and can be sorted according to date, subject or sender. Browsing the archives is a way of reviewing past traffic and also enables new members to familiarise themselves with the culture of the list.

Manage your list subscription

When you want to

change the address you are subscribed with (if your email address changes)
change how you receive the mail (index/digest rather than each message)
leave the list
put your mail on hold
be reminded of your password
read and post messages from the web

You can do all of this from the web - it's easy! Just ...."log on" with your email address and password (if you have set one) then choose from the available options! Go!
