The REWORKING9-10
discussion list
This list is a core networking tool of the Years 9 and 10 National
Network.
In 1998 the ASTF announced that it would set up a national
network for those interested in sustainable work and life transitions
for students in Years 9 and 10 and other young people not engaged/enrolled
at school.
The REWORKING9-10 email list was set up as he core networking
tool for the group.
Participants at the seminar agreed that the network ought to be a forum
for practitioners that:
- empowers, supports and encourages exchanges
acts as a clearinghouse of ideas and initiatives, models and resources
- promotes good practice that mainstreams Vocational Learning in the
compulsory years of schooling
- is a place to find like minded people, a buddy, a kindred spirit,
and allies

This list is a core mechanism for supporting the goals of the network
and is used as a place to
- tell others in the network of interesting things you are doing
- share information about resources
- share successes as well as what has been learned from apparent
failures
- ask each other for advice
- discuss issues
- arrange meetings and visits
- announce events
- be used a reporting mechanism from time to time
The list will act as an effective networking tool if enough people post
regularly to the list.
