Description
The conference theme Education for Work - the future of employment, education and training in Victoria aims to explore the imperatives that the Vocational Education, Employment and Training system is facing. We intend to open the dialogue with a frank reflection of those pressure points, and to ask some of the essential questions about what the New Economy and a knowledge nation really means.
The Education for Work Coalition based at the Victorian Trades Hall Council is running a definitive conference focusing on the future of vocational education training and employment on August 30 and 31. The conference is auspiced by the Institute for Youth, Education and Community at Victoria University. The conference theme Education for Work - the future of employment, education and training in Victoria aims to explore the imperatives that the Vocational Education, Employment and Training system is facing. It will be an important contribution to the discussions on the future. Some of the interesting people from here and overseas include key unionists, industry peaks and education and policy strategists.
