About the VECO Project

Definitions

The following definitions are used for the groups related to the project.

ASTF -The Australian Student Traineeship Foundation
The ASTF is an incorporated non-profit organisation funded and established by the Commonwealth government in 1994.
Aussie SchoolHouse / oz-TeacherNet
As an affiliate of the Global SchoolHouse Internet Community, the Aussie SchoolHouse's charter is to use the Internet and advanced technology to provide its participants with opportunities for life-long learning.
Aussie SchoolHouse Foundation Ltd
A non profit limited liability company established to provide leadership, guidance and management for the Aussie SchoolHouse Internet project.
Oz-TeacherNet
Oz-TeacherNet is a project managed by the Faculty of Education at Queensland University of Technology through the RITE group to provide a community for teachers to make curriculum and professional uses of the Internet. Oz-TeacherNet is a partner in the Aussie SchoolHouse project.
Workplace Learning Coordinators
Those people who are involved in implementing and supporting structured workplace learning programs in schools-industry partnerships.
ASTF implementation team
A steering committee established by the ASTF, to work with the Aussie Schoolhouse in the successful and effective implementation of this project.
