About the
VECO Project
The VECO project is built around the following beliefs and is related to the people who
are involved in the delivery of workplace learning programs and the programs themselves.
- Workplace Learning Coordinators and those people who have a role in managing students'
learning both at school and in the workplace, form a community who have a need to
communicate, collaborate and share.
- The use of the Internet and communications technologies allows coordinators to build
relationships and develop communities that can serve their professional needs, the needs
of those they work with, and the needs of their students.
- The use of email and World Wide Web tools supports coordinators in identifying and
building their own communities including the broader industry communities in which they
operate. Through these communities, coordinators will develop projects and resources which
will support their own learning thereby providing improved opportunities for students.
- Workplace Learning Coordinators need support in implementing the use of the Internet and
communications technologies in their professional activities and programs.
